Volunteer Services available at Bucyrus Community Hospital

Front Desk
Meet and greet all individuals entering the hospital, distribute visitor cards,escort patients to various departments in the Hospital.

Hospital Gift Shop
Wait on and sell to customers in the Gift Shop (all proceeds are donated directly to BCH).

Grey Ladies
Grey Ladies have direct patient contact. They aid patients in filling out meal menus, delivering and removing meal trays,delivering greeting cards,watering flowers, and much more.

Mailroom
Sort and deliver mail to various departments within the hospital once a week.

Candystriper Program
Students 16 years of age or older may volunteer in ICU, Med/Surg, or the Emergency Department. Students will have direct patient contact under the supervision of Hospital staff.

Junior Volunteer Program
Students 13 years of age or older may volunteer in the Dietary Department preparing and delivering patient meal trays, as well as other kitchen duties. Students may also volunteer at the Front Desk as a receptionist for the Hospital.
