The bill charged by the hospital represents charges for hospital-provided services. The second bill represents physician charges (the Emergency Room Physician or the Radiologist). You are responsible for assuring that the financial obligations of your healthcare are fulfilled as promptly as possible. Regardless of the source of payment for your care, you have the right to request and receive an itemized and detailed explanation of the total bill for services rendered in the hospital. If any part of the bill you receive is not understood, it will be explained by personnel from the Patient Administrative Services Department.
