PULMONARY REHAB

Pulmonary Rehab is a comprehensive, preventative, and therapeutic treatment program individualized for the patient who suffers from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Pulmonary rehab can benefit patients other than those with chronic pulmonary conditions as well.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR PULMONARY REHAB?
In order to qualify, you must have:

• A Physician's Order
• A Pulmonary Function Study
• Arterial Blood Gas
• Chest X-Ray
• Been Diagnosed with a Pulmonary Condition
• You Must be Referred by your Physician in Order to Qualify

STATISTICS

The impact of chronic lung disease on morbidity and mortality has increased dramatically in recent decades. In the United States, COPD and allied conditions rank as the 4th leading cause of death.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation cannot cure such diseases as Emphysema and COPD, but by treatment, it can increase self confidence, activities in daily living, and ability to cope with chronic lung disease.
